Q: I am seeking compensation for damages from a company that used my name in fraud. I have finished the case until the appeal court and the execution court has ordered that the company assets and accounts be attached until they pay the sum required as per the judgement. The company has been closed since last year and has no more money left in the bank. If there are no more assets of the company I could go after since the company no longer exists, how else can I get justice aside from the words written on a few sheets of my case judgement paper? I've spent a lot and exerted a lot of effort seeking justice for myself, and when it is time to collect what the judge has determined what I should have, apparently there is nothing left. Is there any other legal recourse? Thanks

Q: I worked for a DIFC company for a year. The company went into liquidation and since that time (2009) I was not able to get my end of service benefits (AED 60,000). I am contacting the liquidator, sending emails every now and then, but most of the time no answer or the same answer "There is no update, we are trying to sell the company assets. We will update you soon..." How can I recover that money? Please advise.

Q: A labour case was ruled in my favour and I received the judgement at the end of 2016. The judgement progressed to execution and not One Dirham has been paid by my ex-employer to date. We have spent the last year searching assets in all banks, combined with real estate, RTA etc. and all have come back with no assets. An attachment was made on the office assets, shortly after the Rental Dispute Committee issued a Judgement awarding the office assets to the Landlord. Finally, we located a valid Bank Guarantee held with a Government Authority. But the entity is not cooperating. As per Federal Law No. 8 for 1980 On Regulation of Labour Relations, Article 4 gives priority over all assets. However, in this scenario, Federal Labour Law, Dubai Real Estate Laws and further laws are all overlapping and conflicting. My query is, is there a document or law that states which law has priority over another to help resolve the issues I am facing with the judgement execution?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Is there a path to initiate some sort of investigation by relevant authorities on a company that may have committed fraud by falsifying positive P&l reports in order to obtain loans from a bank? Loans have been used to finance construction projects. The company has in fact been making losses for over six years & directors/owners have used operational cash to finance down payments & repayments, instead of using their own capital. In the process, they owe millions to suppliers and also 100s of thousands to staff/workers as they have been constantly delaying payment of salaries going back 3 years & not paid full salaries to everyone for 9 months. They have been showing/submitting financial reports showing losses as proof/reason for their inability to pay. Is there a way to combat this kind of deception/fraud?
