Visa cancellation charges, procedures and time frame
Hi Ma'am,
I am outside the country. I worked as an employee in Dubai before one year and came to my country without cancelling the labour card and visa.
Now I got a new job and I need to cancel my labour card and I talked with our company owner and send him AED 900 that he asked. But one week over now also and it's not cancelled.
How long does it take to cancel? Does it need AED 900?

Dear Questioner,
Please be informed that visa cancellation charges shall not be imposed on you by your employer. The employer has to pay any such charges incurred. Please note that the charges are minimal as to AED 103/-.
The following documents are required for an easy cancellation process which will not even take a full day to complete the formalities:-
The following documents are required for cancelling residence visa through GDRFA:
1. Cancellation form signed by the sponsor. If the sponsor is a company or a firm, the cancellation form must be signed and sealed by the company stamp and a clearance certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation must be attached
2. The original passport of the sponsored
3. Original identity card of the sponsored
4. If the sponsored ones are out of the UAE, the sponsor may present the original passport or a computerised extract of their residence visas
