An ex-employer is asking for a copy of the exit stamp. Am I obliged to share it?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have resigned and changed my job. My previous employer is asking for an exit stamp, and I don't want to share information about my new visa and status.

Is it necessary to share my visa copy?

No, there is no contract about this.

They are asking me to send the exit stamp, otherwise, they will file a case against me.

It's a DMCC free zone company. Can I ignore them?

Dear Questioner,

No, it is not necessary to share your visa copy with your previous employer when resigning and changing your job.

Your previous employer is only responsible for canceling your work permit and visa, and they should not need to see your new visa or status.
