Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings for the day. I have given AED 150,000 to a known person (who is dealing with flat lease), on his emergency situation. He said he will pay the amount in 3 months. As a security, I took the whole amount in cheque. Apart from that, he had given 3 cheques total for AED 36000 for 3 months. After a month he left the country and didn't come back for 6 months. Now, its been 8 months without giving me any amount and now he is here in Dubai. So, I contacted him for the money, and he told me "I don't have money, do whatever you want". Q: I would like some advice on a personal issue. Last year I separated from a man who I was with for two years, and whom I paid a lot of money to in order to help him out financially whilst he was made redundant from his job. Q: Salam, I was working in Dubai and I needed a 50k loan from the company. My boss told me to do him a favour and take a 700000 loan from the bank then take 50k. I said how. He planned everything and deposited 30k salary on my account and verify from HR and accounts. The bank agent gave me the loan he paid instalments almost for one year and then he terminated me and said don't worry we will pay your loan. After I came back to Pakistan, they are paying but after 3-4 months like that, the recovery company calls me in Pakistan daily. what can I do? If I come to Dubai and make a case on my boss, will the bank help me or I have to hire lawyer?

Q: I’ve given a loan to my employer due to bad cash flow position of the company to support the company without a written agreement. Due to the bad position of the company, the company had fired more than 80% manpower including myself. Q: Dear Sir or Madam, A Moroccan citizen who lives in Dubai owes me money. I live in Europe and have never been to the UAE. I met this man in Morocco in 2014. Later he sent me a friend request on Facebook. He manipulated me to loan him money via Western Union with various excuses multiple times. It started when he was still in Morocco in 2016. He promised to repay me when working in the UAE. He moved to Dubai in 2017, but money requests didn’t stop. I made six transactions between Jan 24, 2017, and Mar 9, 2018, total 1150 €. I have Fb chats (also a voice message) as evidence. He promised to pay AED 500 per month but never paid. In Feb 2019 he blocked me on Fb when I demanded him to pay. On WhatsApp, he still promised to pay me when he could. I tried to be patient because of the coronavirus pandemic. In Dec 2021 he blocked me also on WhatsApp. Can this be considered a crime in the UAE? Can I file a criminal complaint against this person online? How is the limitation period calculated in this case?
