Do I get a travel ban in the UAE for a bank loan in Saudi Arabia?

Good day!

I'm a resident of the UAE now. I had an unpaid bank loan in Saudi Arabia way back in 2014.

Now, Bilkish agency, a debt collection agency, keeps on calling me to pay my debt in just a few days. I can't afford to pay immediately because I'm not earning too much.

An agent said she will make sure the bank will block me here in the UAE.

Does the collection agency have the right to block me in immigration or put me into travel ban here in the UAE?

Thank you so much for your reply.

Dear Questioner,

Please note that in case the collection company has a verdict in Saudi and they approach the UAE Courts to enforce the verdict, they may be successful to impose a travel ban on you here in the UAE as well.

It may take time and money but it is theoretically possible. It might be a much better and wiser decision for you to negotiate better payment terms with the collection company.

In the end, it is more fair and ethical to pay your financial dues.

Good luck and best regards,
