Q: Dear Lawyers, I filed a case against my tenant after issuing a 12-month eviction notice. The lawyer I hired to handle the case did not pay attention to what I told him, causing me to lose the case. I informed him that the reason for the eviction was to move in, but he filed the case stating the reason was to sell. Since there were no supporting documents, I lost the case. If I appeal, what documents will be necessary? Can I file another case using the eviction reason of moving in?

A company in the UAE failed to provide the service we paid for. How can we refund our money?
Q: We are a UK-based company that paid for a UAE agency to complete a photoshoot for us. Some time passed as we were struggling to schedule a shoot in our schedule. They also delayed the matter due to a lack of availability for them. They promised us a shoot by November but then stopped responding to us. We threatened legal action and now they are only offering a refund of approximately 18%. Please could you advise me on how to move forward as they have cheated us?

How to let the employer cancel my visa after proper resignation and finishing my notice period?
Q: I have resigned from the company and finished my notice period of 30 days. The employer is not willing to sign the clearance paper which is needed for the HR dept to cancel my visa. I have got another job and I need this visa to be canceled immediately or I`ll lose that job as well.

Can I refuse to leave the apartment after the eviction notice if the landlord shows no intention to sell?
Q: I am reposting the question as maybe I was not clear the first time. I am a tenant in an apartment in Dubai. I stayed in the apartment for a long time. I received a valid 12-month notice from the landlord to vacate the property because they want to sell it. However, 9 months have passed since and the landlord has shown no intention of selling. I asked them about it and they said they intend to renovate it first before selling it. As I do not want to move out, can I dispute this at the RDC in any way? Meaning, do I have any basis for dispute?+4

Will I be arrested in my country if I paid the first installment for a bank loan settlement in the UAE then stopped?
Q: Hello Legal Advice, I had a loan amount of AED 240K and after paying some installments, the amount came down to AED 170K. I got laid off from my job in the UAE due to company acquisitions, and now I am jobless in India. After discussions with my bank, they sent a settlement letter for AED 150K and I paid AED 25K as a downpayment by selling gold and borrowing money from my friends. Now I cannot pay the remaining amount because of being jobless and I am the sole breadwinner. My query is will there be any legal problem if I don`t pay the remaining amount after signing the settlement letter? Will case execution be implemented in India also?
