Can I resign while my new visa is being processed before my first contract ends?

However, my new visa is set to be processed in a month. Can I resign during this process?

According to UAE labor law, if you resign from your job before completing your first contract, you may face a ban from working in the UAE for a period of 6 months to 1 year.
This ban can be lifted if you have a valid reason for resigning, such as a medical condition or a better job offer.
Even with a new visa in process, your existing contract's terms remain valid until its official end date. You can resign during this process and serve the notice period.
However, you must inform your HR about your intention to leave and request to stop the renewal process. Otherwise, your employer may ask you to compensate for the visa renewal cost.
