How to send all English documents I translated to Arabic to Dubai Courts system?
Q: Salam Aleykum. About the receipts and invoices of money that my husband owes me, how should I present them in the case and upload them to the system in the Dubai Courts? Should the screenshot of each original invoice in English be translated into Arabic and photo format? Is it like this for each one or how should it be, please? Contract expired 2 months ago. Owner wants to raise rent. Can I renew at old price?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I was overdue for my tenancy contract renewal; no one contacted me, and the contract expired 2 months ago. I have been living in this apartment for 2 years, and now the owner of the apartment wants to raise the price. I read that I had a grace period of 90 days to renew my contract, but the agency says that I only had 15 days. Who is right in this situation, and can I renew the contract at the old price?

Visa cancellation: Sign wrongful EOS or wait six months for automatic cancellation?
Q: Dear lawyers, I have a question about visa cancellation after termination and need urgent help. I got fired during probation and they told me to return everything immediately and not to serve during the notice period. So I returned to my home country before my last day of work (just 1 day earlier) due to a family emergency. After that, they settled my EOS and then initiated the visa cancellation. The EOS letter I signed at that time said "Termination Type: Termination by company". I was already out of the country at that time and they asked me to come back to UAE to cancel my visa but I didn`t. So now they said not to come back but asked me to sign a new EOS letter but this time it says "Termination Type: Out of country". If I sign this, can they put absconding on me? Can I just not sign it and wait for 6 months to get my visa canceled automatically? They do not seem to have good intentions, that`s why I need your help to ensure my rights are protected. How can I release funds from my accounts after being frozen for a year by the Central Bank?
Q: Hello, It`s been more than one year since all three bank accounts in Dubai were frozen suddenly without any notice. When I started to inquire regarding it I got the answer that my bank accounts are frozen by the Central Bank of the UAE. Although accounts are debit-frozen only. I had some heavy transactions in one of my accounts and there is a huge amount stuck in my bank accounts. I am willing to hire a lawyer or consultant who can assist me in releasing the funds from my accounts. I am currently out of the country but I still hold UAE residency. I got a lifetime ban because I could not pay my employment expenses. How to remove the ban?
Q: Hi I was working in a taxi company. Unfortunately, I was not able to pay their expenses which they spent on my visa fee and license. There was no other due payment on me, only the expenses that the company spent on the license and some other fees. They were holding my passport and I needed to come back home urgently. I told them that I couldn`t pay 9 thousand dirhams at once, so they put a lifetime ban on me. Can this type of ban be removed or not? If there is any chance to lift it, I will try and bear all the expenses. Also, I want to know if this ban is for all the emirates or only for the emirate of Dubai.

If agency does not cancel my visa for new job, what's next?
Q: Good morning, sir I have paid an agency to process my visa, but unfortunately, I received a job offer and was instructed to cancel the visa to be on the company`s visa. Although I have paid for everything, including cancellation fees, the agency refuses to proceed with the cancellation. My new company is waiting within the timeframe provided for me to start work, threatening termination if not met. I lodged a complaint with the Labor Department, and they informed me it would take 5 to 10 days to resolve the issue and provide me with the cancellation letter for the new company. However, by then, the time will have elapsed. Can my agency still cancel it after my complaint to labor, or must we continue to wait for labor? I bought a property off-plan and took me time to pay the 4% DLD. Can the developer cancel the contract?
Q: I have bought a property in Dubai off-plan. The villa was completed at the end of Jan (1.5 months ago). I haven`t had the funds to register the property with DLD until now, mid-March. Until now, I have paid the 20% deposit to the builder and taking 80% on mortgage. The mortgage with the bank is now ready with the manager`s cheque and sent to the DLD office ready for registration. As it has taken some time for me to arrange the 4% DLD, the builder is now telling me he is going to cancel the contract or charge me an additional amount as the market price has gone up. Can I start a new company aside my failing partnership business without being sued for competition?
Q: I currently have a company in the UAE with my partner. My partner hasn`t been working or contributing to the company for the past year and is very difficult to deal with. I`m no longer able to work with him - my option is to start another similar company on the side, as dissolving the existing company or selling/buying each other`s shares doesn`t seem viable. How to appeal a civil case judgment if it was based on a forged document?
Q: Hi all professionals, I lost a civil case against a fraud immigration consultant based in Dubai on 14 March 2024. I was the plaintiff and I had paid AED 24600 to him for migrating to Canada. He submitted a forged document on 7 Dec 2023 with his memo. I replied to that and submitted the original document which I received from the government of Canada the same document which this company had forged. Despite that, the court gave the judgment based on the fake document submitted by the defendant, and it is the final judgment. How can I appeal as I have been told that I can`t file an appeal against this final judgment? How can a judge pass judgment on a fake document? Please advise. أسئلة وأجوبة
