Q: Good Day, I am a single mother of a 5-year-old living in Dubai. The father and I have never been married, but I would like to file for sole custody and child support on the grounds that: 1. He only sees his child one weekend every two weeks. 2. He constantly drops off his child and refuses to pick him up, even if he hasn`t seen him in a while. 3. He has never paid child support. 4. He threatens the mother (me) constantly. 5. He threatens to leave the country. 6. هل يسقط الحكم الغيابي بمرور الزمن؟
س: السلام عليكم، لدي حكم ضدي بسبب إصدار شيك بدون رصيد (سنتان حبس مع بطاقة جلب محليًا ودوليًا) صدر في سنة 2016. اعترضت وقدمت ما يفيد الخلاص الجزئي، المبلغ 450000 درهم دفعت منهم 435000 درهم، لكن لم أستطع الحضور في الاعتراض وتم الحكم كأن الاعتراض لم يكن. المستفيد من الشيك استغل وجودي خارج الإمارات ورفع دعوى شيك بدون رصيد رغم أني كنت أدفع له لخلاص جزئي ولدي إيصالات تفيد ذلك قدمهم المحامي في قضية الاعتراض لكن خفت من الحضور. سؤالي: هل يسقط الحكم الغيابي بمرور الزمن؟ ومتى؟ الحكم الغيابي في 2016 والاعتراض في 2016. شكرًا! أسئلة وأجوبة

How can I get the money I lent to a friend who refuses to pay it back?
Q: Dear Advisors, One of my friends borrowed AED 22,500 from me on March 2022. He said he will return the money in one month, but he didn’t. I asked many times. After 3 or 4 months he started paying gradually. On September 16, 2022, he paid a total of AED 16,500 and promised he will pay the remaining AED 4000 as 1000 every month. But he is not returning my balance amount of AED 4000. Now it`s been almost 10 months he never shows up and hardly responds to the call. Every time commit to paying it off the next week or next month, but all just lies. He lives in Dubai and runs a marketing business. Every time he keeps changing the date. I have WhatsApp chatting. Q: Hi All, I have decided to resign from my employment and take up a job with a new employer. The offer letter has been signed and I have been given my start day for the 8th of June. I have two questions. My employer has told me that my unused 10 days of annual leave will be calculated on my basic salary of 10,000 AED. However, my total allowances including my basic salary are 18000. 5,053 for housing, 2,000 for transportation and mobile phone, and 842 for others. So how should my employer be calculating my unused annual leave, on basic or total? Also, I have a loan and credit card with no missed payments. This is what bothers me: in the contract I signed, it says that I have to pay the training cost of 5000 AED if I resign before 1 year. - Will I pay that amount if I resign during probation or even after 6 months? - If I resign after 6 months, will I still have to pay the full amount or half? Q: Hello, Just wanted to ask if I can return to the UAE or if my case will be removed. I got detained in prison with a case of “Gay” for 6 months and was deported back to Thailand and I am currently in Thailand. My question is if I am going to apply for a working visa to Canada and they do an international background criminal check, will they know that I was detained before in the UAE? هروب مستأجر بعد تقديم شيكات باسم صديقه لحين فتح حساب بنكي
س: السلام عليكم، كتبت شيكات لصديق من أجل مساعدته لاستئجار محل على أن تُستبدَل عند فتح حساب بنكي خاص به، لكنه تمنع وهرب خارج الإمارات. صاحب العقار يطالبني بقيمة شيكات مرتجعة. هناك ٣ شيكات مرتجعة قيمة كل شيك ٨٤٠٠٠ درهم. ليس لي أي منفعة من العقار؛ مجرد أنني أعطيت شيكات بحسن النية لحين الاستبدال. تواصلت مع صاحب العقار وأبلغته أنه يجب عليه تنفيذ إخلاء المحل وإيقاف صرف الشيكات، لكنه يرفض. صاحب العقار أقام دعوى تنفيذ يطالب بتسديد مبلغ ٨٤٠٠٠ درهم ثم دعوى أمر على عريضة ومنع السفر بحقي. يطالب بمبلغ ١٨٨٠٠٠ درهم ومنع السفر. كيف أستطيع إيقاف ما تبقى من الشيكات حتى لا يصبح المبلغ أكبر والقضية تتوسع؟ ولكم جزيل الشكر! أسئلة وأجوبة
