Can I claim my labor dues from a closed company through bounced cheques in 2018?
Q: Hello I was employed by a company in 2017 that failed to pay my salary. Since I urgently needed a new job to manage my expenses, the management gave me three cheques amounting to roughly 45,000. I signed the final settlement, which states that the remaining amount will be paid in cheques. Prior to me cashing the cheques, they had paid roughly 6,000 in cash. Since it`s been a long time, I cannot locate the payment slip. Since they failed to pay the rest of the amount, I went ahead to cash the cheques and they bounced. I then registered a case with the Dubai police in April 2018. It`s been nearly 7 years and the status on the Dubai Police site shows as "Awaiting approval/Bank reply". I have the following questions: 1. Is there any way to recover this amount? 2. What is the best option to pursue? Civil case or a labor case with the free zone? However, the company no longer exists as far as I know, how does it work? 3. What does the status awaiting approval/bank reply mean?

Q: Hi, I joined a new company under the visa of my previous employer from December 4, 2024, to January 7, 2025, after resigning from my previous company. My previous employer canceled my visa on February 16, 2025, after I had completed my work with them on November 28, 2024. I have not received my salary for the month I worked with my new employer (from December 4, 2024, to January 7, 2025). On January 7, 2025, my new employer terminated my contract, citing that I did not meet their requirements, even though I had worked and performed my duties during the period of my employment. A court order was issued against me based on fake witness about documents. How to convert that in my appeal?
Q: The complainant said in a complaint that I received the shipping documents from him. However, this is a lie and he and his fake witness (his friend) only said that to trap me in this case. They never presented any written paper, receiving or CCTV camera, or any sort of evidence. The judge still ordered a punishment and I made an appeal in Ajman. I have submitted my defense paper already. How should I tell the judge about this that they are telling lies only?

Will the UAE travel ban affect you across all GCC Countries starting from January 2025?
Q: Hello, I`m seeking legal advice on behalf of a friend who has outstanding personal and business loans in the UAE that have been overdue since 2015. He is currently outside the UAE and there are indications that legal action—including a travel ban—might have been taken against him. He has renewed his passport and now holds a new one. I have two main concerns: 1. Travel to Other GCC Countries: - Can he travel to other GCC countries, such as Qatar, without facing arrest at immigration due to his unpaid UAE loans? - I have heard that starting from January 2025, the Immigration Systems will be linked across all GCC Countries. Will that affect him? 2. Re-entry into the UAE: - Is it possible for him to obtain a visa and re-enter the UAE? - If he enters the UAE, would he risk arrest, or is there a legal pathway that would allow him to settle his debts through installments or other means? - Can the existing cases be resolved in a manner that permits legal re-entry? How can I reach a settlement with the bank if I left the UAE with an unpaid personal loan?
Q: I have a personal loan of AED 98,000. My visa has already been canceled. Any advice on how I can pay the bank on EMI? I will keep on coming back to the UAE every 6 months. If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country?
Q: Hi. One of my friends joined a Telegram group. They said, "We will transfer some amount to your account, and your task is to transfer this amount to another account. Once the task is completed, you will get 30 or 50 AED per task." He completed 3 to 4 tasks, but he realized it was not good, so he stopped. After one week, when he opened his account, it was blocked, and the bank said, "We are conducting an investigation; after this, we will let you know." After some days, he had an accident and went to his home country. He then received a call from a landline number, which was from the Abu Dhabi police station. They said, "We have received a complaint against you; come to our investigation department." However, due to his surgery and treatment, he could not go. After some time, his bank account was reopened, and he did not receive any further calls. I want to know, if he comes back to the UAE or goes to any other GCC country, will he face any problems? If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country? Please advise!+4

Can I return to the UAE after an outpass and unpaid fine?
Q: Hello, I had an absconding case, which was later removed. While canceling the visa with my previous employer, who had placed the absconding case, the immigration department informed me that I had a fine of 12,000 AED, and the visa would be canceled once I paid the fine. I didn’t have the money, so they said I could either take an outpass and be banned from the country or pay the fine. I chose the outpass. Now I want to return to the UAE. Is there any way I can come back, and do I still need to pay the fine?
