How can I reach a settlement with the bank if I left the UAE with an unpaid personal loan?

I have a personal loan of AED 98,000. My visa has already been canceled. Any advice on how I can pay the bank on EMI?

I will keep on coming back to the UAE every 6 months. Can I now pay my loan in that 6-month span?

I already had a default case before due to the COVID-19 pandemic and I don't want that nightmare to happen again.

Since I have still a loan with them, are they going to hold me at the airport? Will they allow me to travel?

But please, I need a strong recommendation on transferring money to the bank on a monthly basis.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question!

I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.

To manage your loan after visa cancellation:

1. Inform your bank about your situation and request to maintain EMI payments.

2. Set up international bank transfers or use online banking for payments.

3. Consider using international money transfer services if direct transfers aren't possible.

4. Maintain regular payments to avoid issues when entering/exiting UAE.

5. Be prepared for potential account freezes or questions at the airport.

6. Ensure payments are made before due dates and keep all communication records.

7. Consider setting up automatic payments to avoid missing deadlines.

8. Be aware that defaulting on payments could lead to legal action, including travel bans.

Consistent communication with your bank and timely payments are crucial to avoid complications.

You can contact us via WhatsApp for further clarification or additional support. We are dedicated to providing professional, timely, and comprehensive assistance tailored to your situation.

Thank you,

ABDUL WAHIED

Hello,

The first step you need to take is to contact the bank directly to check the latest action they have taken regarding your loan.

Based on their response, we can determine the best course of action. If there is no legal case filed yet, you may negotiate a repayment plan with the bank to avoid any legal complications.

If a case has already been initiated, we can explore options such as settling the matter, requesting a payment restructuring, or negotiating installment payments to resolve your outstanding liability.

I can also assist you in checking whether there are any legal cases filed against you, including travel bans or arrest warrants.

To provide you with precise guidance and assist in negotiations or legal matters, you may contact me by phone or via email so we can discuss your case in detail and determine the best way forward.

We understand your concerns. Before making any payment, we have to secure your entry to UAE.

We will undertake the procedures of removing orders against you with the court or through negotiating with the bank.

Kindly share your WhatsApp number to discuss this further.

Dear Questioner,

Thank you for reaching out. Here are my recommendations regarding your loan repayment and travel concerns:

1. Loan Repayment While Outside the UAE:

You can continue making monthly payments through:

Online Banking: Set up automated transfers from your international account to your UAE bank.

International Transfers: Use wire transfers to send funds from abroad to your UAE account.

Third-Party Providers: Services like Western Union or TransferWise can help send payments.

Please contact your bank to confirm the best method for repaying your loan remotely.

2. Travel Concerns:

If there’s an existing travel ban due to your default case, I recommend checking with UAE authorities (Public Prosecution or Dubai Police) to verify. Resolving any outstanding debts with your bank may help lift such restrictions.

3. Recommendations for Managing Payments:

Automate Payments: Set up automated monthly payments through your bank or third-party services.

Stay in Communication with Your Bank: Ensure the bank is aware of your situation and explore flexible payment options.

Please let me know if you need further assistance or legal guidance on resolving any issues.

Best regards,

Mohammed Salah

Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry.

I understand the challenges you're facing regarding your personal loan and the concerns surrounding your ability to manage the payments while being outside the UAE.

In your situation, there are a few important considerations:

Loan Repayment Options: Given that you are traveling back to the UAE every six months, I would recommend contacting the bank to explore options for setting up a regular monthly repayment plan, either through online banking or international transfers.

Many banks offer services that allow for automatic payments or standing orders from abroad. Additionally, it might be possible to negotiate with the bank to adjust the terms of repayment based on your circumstances.

Legal Consequences: If you already have a default case due to the previous situation, it is important to take proactive steps to avoid any further complications.

Banks in the UAE have the right to file cases in the event of non-payment, which may lead to restrictions such as a travel ban.

To mitigate this risk, it's advisable to ensure that you maintain communication with the bank and, if necessary, discuss the possibility of arranging a settlement or restructuring your loan.

Travel Concerns: While banks can issue a travel ban in cases of significant defaults, your chances of being restricted depend on the severity of your default and the actions taken by the bank.

If you’re in compliance with a payment plan or a settlement agreement, this can help reduce the chances of a travel ban. I would strongly recommend making regular payments as a preventive measure.

Given the complexity of your case, my strong recommendation is to set up a reliable system for monthly payments, ideally through an international transfer service that the bank recognizes.

Additionally, I can assist you in reviewing your situation and discussing the potential options available to you with the bank to avoid any future complications.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly via WhatsApp, phone, or email, and we can discuss how I can help you navigate this situation effectively and find a tailored solution.

Best regards,

Suhail Rana

Dear questioner

First, if you had defaulted on the loan, then there are chances to impose a travel ban.

For paying EMI with a longer term of months, we need to negotiate with the bank if a case is not registered.

If a case is registered, then we need to file an objection. So first, we need to check everything.

If you need to proceed with us, then kindly share your Whatsapp number.

Greetings,

Regarding your personal loan and the concerns about paying the bank while you are out of the UAE, here are some key points to consider:

EMI Payments from Abroad:

You can continue paying your EMI by setting up an automatic payment plan or online bank transfer.

Most UAE banks offer facilities for international transfers. Alternatively, you can authorize someone in the UAE to manage the payments on your behalf.

Travel & Default Cases:

If you have a default case due to previous payment issues, it’s important to resolve any outstanding amounts or reach an agreement with the bank to avoid complications during your travels.

Generally, banks do not block travel, but a pending legal case could potentially lead to travel restrictions.

Recommendation:

We strongly recommend seeking legal assistance to ensure there are no further legal actions that could hinder your travel or financial standing.

Our firm can help negotiate with the bank or guide you on the proper legal steps to avoid future issues.
