Q: I have a misdemeanor case hearing in misdemeanor circuit court, I`m the complainant (insult over messages) and the accused (insult in public). No witness exists, I may have confessed in a message. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have been involved in a criminal case since July 2024 and am currently under a travel ban. I got the judgment and penalty of 3700 which I paid but the prosecutor filed an appeal. Q: My employer signed a visa renewal form at the end of my contract and now when 15 days are left in my residency expiration, they want to terminate me. What are my rights in this case? Q: Hello, I`m in Canada, and I filed for divorce. My husband, who owns a real estate company in Abu Dhabi, kidnapped our children and took them to the UAE to avoid the divorce and force me back to him. Q: Hello, I am a chartered accountant and a regulated officer in DIFC. Recently, I was forced into a fight (the other party started it), and things escalated. The other party called the police and filed a case against me for fighting and using bad language. The police detained me for a night and released me the next day, informing me that my friend, who was present at the time, and I have a travel ban. Can I claim my labor dues from a closed company through bounced cheques in 2018?
Q: Hello I was employed by a company in 2017 that failed to pay my salary. Since I urgently needed a new job to manage my expenses, the management gave me three cheques amounting to roughly 45,000. I signed the final settlement, which states that the remaining amount will be paid in cheques. Prior to me cashing the cheques, they had paid roughly 6,000 in cash. Since it`s been a long time, I cannot locate the payment slip. Since they failed to pay the rest of the amount, I went ahead to cash the cheques and they bounced. I then registered a case with the Dubai police in April 2018. It`s been nearly 7 years and the status on the Dubai Police site shows as "Awaiting approval/Bank reply". I have the following questions: 1. Is there any way to recover this amount? 2. What is the best option to pursue? Civil case or a labor case with the free zone? However, the company no longer exists as far as I know, how does it work? 3. What does the status awaiting approval/bank reply mean?+2
