Landlord sent an eviction notice for renovation. Is it legal if they plan to sell?
Q: Hi everyone, Glad to have found this platform. I’ve been searching for answers and haven`t found anything concrete online. I am renting an apartment in Dubai, and my landlord sent me an eviction notice more than 12 months before the end of my contract. The reason for eviction is “renovation”. I tried to negotiate a renewal, but he clarified verbally that he would renovate the apartment and sell it afterward. My question is if this is legal since the intention is to sell the apartment and not just renovate it. Will I be able to sue him if he sells the apartment? Appreciate your responses. Thanks!

I have been living in this apartment for 2 years, and now the owner of the apartment wants to raise the price. I read that I had a grace period of 90 days to renew my contract, but the agency says that I only had 15 days. Who is right in this situation, and can I renew the contract at the old price?

Can the payment terms be changed from monthly to one upfront cheque?
Q: Hi there, My lease is up for renewal and I have agreed to the 10% increase, however, my landlord now wants to change payment terms from monthly payments which I have been doing for the past 3 years, into 1 cheque upfront which I can not afford or able to do. Q: After the Dubai labor court verdict how long one must wait to get money from the company? I have not heard anything after the verdict from my lawyer neither the company nor the government.
