Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I bought a car in an Emirates auction 3 months ago. The car papers were not passed/cleared when the car was delivered to me, so I cannot drive the car. I am unable to resell the car. The Emirates Auction office is not providing a meeting. I am unable to export the car and I can`t do anything. What is the procedure to raise a petition for the refund of the money?

Can the payment terms be changed from monthly to one upfront cheque?
Q: Hi there, My lease is up for renewal and I have agreed to the 10% increase, however, my landlord now wants to change payment terms from monthly payments which I have been doing for the past 3 years, into 1 cheque upfront which I can not afford or able to do. Does the landlord have a right to do this or can I refuse the terms but accept the increase of 10%? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Q: After the Dubai labor court verdict how long one must wait to get money from the company? I have not heard anything after the verdict from my lawyer neither the company nor the government. Should I keep quiet on the assurance from the lawyer with only two words? Nothing yet. How long does an employer hold the payment from the Dubai Courts? Is there any time limit? Q: Hi, My husband lost his job 6 years back and he has not been able to find a job. He got a loan from a bank and they filed a civil case. We also came to know he has a standing warrant of arrest. I want to know what I can do for him. Should my husband go to Dubai Courts and check what he can do to settle the case or they will arrest him immediately? Q: Hi all, I lost a case because of my lawyer`s negligence. I have email evidence. How can I sue them? How do I raise a complaint against them? Will I need a lawyer to put a legal case against them or can I do it myself? I lost money on this case, and every lawyer I speak to never gives a clear answer on the fees. Q: Dear Questioner, I am a landlord. My tenant has vacated the apartment and her rent was paid in full before she vacated. Since living there for 5 years, she had 4 bounced cheques due to an irregular signature, and not lack of funds. س: السلام عليكم، مقيم في الإمارات منذ ٣ أشهر فقط. صدرت ضدي أحكام في قضايا شيكات بإجمالي ٥ قضايا كلها غيابية ولم أقدم معارضة. علمًا بأن الأحكام في بلدى الأصلي. هل يمكن أن تسبب هذه القضايا أي ضرر لي هنا في العمل أو تتسبب في خروجي من البلاد؟

Is there a timeframe for a property maintenance claim after vacating the apartment?
Q: Upon vacating your apartment, can you sue your landlord for ongoing maintenance issues while you lived there? For 3 years I had ongoing maintenance issues which the building would not fix properly. Furthermore, they have now tried to deduct from my security deposit despite not fixing several issues that occurred in the past 3 years! Is there a timeframe for a maintenance claim? I would like to sue them for years of lack of maintenance which destroyed my experience while living there. Please advise. Thank you.
