Q: Hi, I have a Labor case in Dubai Courts. The Court already issued a judgment that the employer has to pay me. But the Company is not here. My visa is expired since last one month and I need to cancel it because I have the Offer Letter from another company. I am having a hard time since I am running behind this issue since Ramadan. Forcing a tenant wrongfully accused of sublease to pay a penalty
Q: I and my family are living in a home rented by Al Wasl Properties. It is leased to my dad`s employer Khaleej Times and there has been a false allegation by Al Wasl Properties that we have subleased the home to someone without any evidence. The only evidence they have are two Emirates IDs of two men. We are being forced by my dad`s employer to pay the penalty, as they don`t want to have a headache because of this case. We feel helpless as we haven`t done any offence nor subleased it, yet we are being forced to pay a penalty of AED 8000. Termination during probation period in a limited contract
Q: Hello Ma`am, I just want to ask for advice, as my employer just recently terminated me under a limited contract. I was hired July 2, 2017, and last Wednesday, Sept 20, 2017, the newly hired HR and General Manager spoke with me that they will no more continue my contract with them. They are claiming that I have made delays which I`m not aware of, and they didn`t send me any warnings through email. I have filed one-day sick leave when I was not really feeling well. Immediately on that day, they gave me a cheque which I served for 20 days only. Checking a possible ban for unintended overstay in the UAE
Q: Hi Sir. Hope you are doing well. I came to Dubai on a visit visa in 2014. I got a job and the owner of the company asked me for money to issue the employment visa. I paid him the amount, but the employer didn`t apply for my visa and went to his country. I filed a case against him in the court, but he didn`t come to the court after he returned to Dubai. The main problem was that I had given him my original passport, and that`s why I didn`t exit the country. After 10 months, I went to Al Aweer jail and I took exit without paying overstay fine. I had given fingerprint and eye scan also. Now, I want to come back on partner visa and I want to know if I can come on that visa or not. Labour court procedures when the employer fails to attend the hearings
Q: Hi. I have filed a labour case with Dubai court against my employer for the non-payment of salaries and final settlement. The amount is approximately AED 95000. My company did not appear for any hearing in the court, and after placing two public advertisements the judge has decided judgement date to be 30 November. Please advise what happens next.
