When can I file an eviction case after serving a legal notice for an apartment sale?

Dear Lawyers,

A legal notice was issued on 20 Dec 2023 (apartment sale). It was served to the tenant on 20 Jan 2024.

When is the appropriate time to file a case?

Hello,

If the tenant does not vacate the property by the end of the notice period (in this case, by April 20, 2024), you may then file a case in the Rent Disputes Center (RDC) to seek enforcement of the eviction.

You can file a case immediately after the expiration of the notice period if the tenant fails to comply.
