Dear Questioner,

The court's jurisdiction is not related to the place of visa issuance but rather to the defendant's place of residence.

If your wife resides in Dubai, the lawsuit will be filed in Dubai courts, and if she resides in Sharjah, the lawsuit will be filed in Sharjah courts.

The fees range between one thousand and two thousand dirhams.

Dear Questioner,

According to UAE law, the jurisdiction for filing a divorce case depends on the location of the couple's residence and where they are living.

In your case, since your visa is in Sharjah and your wife's visa is stamped in Abu Dhabi, you can file for divorce in either the Sharjah or Abu Dhabi court. This can change after seeing the case documents

The court fee for filing a divorce case in the UAE varies depending on the court and the complexity of the case.

Please contact me via phone or email for more information and assistance.

Thanks!

Dear Questioner,

Thank you for reaching out regarding your divorce case. I understand the importance of having an experienced lawyer to guide you through this process.

In terms of court jurisdiction, divorce cases in the UAE are typically filed in the emirate where the marriage took place or where the couple resides.

Given that your visa is from Sharjah and your wife’s visa is from Abu Dhabi, we will need to consider various factors to determine the appropriate jurisdiction.

This can include the place of residence, the place of marriage, and other specific circumstances.

Regarding court fees, these can vary based on the emirate and the complexity of the case. I can provide you with a detailed breakdown of the expected costs once we discuss your case further.

To get a more precise understanding and to provide you with the best possible advice, please reach out to me directly via WhatsApp or phone [--------].

Alternatively, you can email me at [----------]. I look forward to assisting you.

Dear Questioner,

In the UAE, jurisdiction for filing a divorce case is typically determined by the place of residence. Here’s how it works:

- Residency Matters:

If your visa is in Sharjah and your wife’s visa is in Abu Dhabi, jurisdiction can depend on where you both reside. However, the general rule is:

  • File in Sharjah: If you reside in Sharjah.
  • File in Abu Dhabi: If your wife resides in Abu Dhabi.

It’s common to file in the Emirate where the marriage took place or where the couple last resided together.

- Mutual Agreement:

If both parties agree, the case can be filed in either Emirate.

To handle your divorce case effectively, you need a lawyer with experience in UAE family law and a clear understanding of the appropriate court jurisdiction based on your residency. Here is a detailed guide:
