What happens when my job designation and salary on the offer letter are different from the labor contract?
In the offer letter, designation is given Buyer with a salary of AED 30000/month.
However, in the MOHRE contract, the designation is mentioned as "Industrial Electrician" and the salary is mentioned as AED 10000/month.
What are the adverse effects of the above contract I received?
What is the skill level of the mentioned designation?
There are certain things to keep in mind before signing this contract. When a dispute arises, the contract will prevail over an offer letter.
Furthermore, the contract will be the base for calculating the end-of-service benefits, and the mentioned salary will have adverse effects on you.
Not only the difference in the amount, but the difference in position can also be an issue in the future.
So try to convince them or ask them to issue another internal employment contract which encloses the same terms as mentioned in the offer letter.
It is known in contracts that the subsequent one copies the previous one.
Accordingly, if the two parties agree in the employment contract on terms and conditions that differ or conflict with the job offer, what prevails between the two parties is the employment contract as it is subsequent to the job offer and a copy of it.
This is what the provisions of the Dubai courts have settled on in that what is agreed upon in the employment contract prevails in determining the rights and obligations of both the employer and the worker, and that is not others.
Therefore, the salary is what is determined in the employment contract.
Dear Questioner,
Thanks for your inquiry.
The adverse effect of this contract is that it misrepresents your actual job title and salary, which could lead to potential issues in the future.
For example, if you were to apply for a loan or visa, the discrepancy between your offer letter and the MOHRE contract could cause confusion and delay.
Additionally, if you were to face any legal disputes with your employer, the MOHRE contract would be considered the official document and could affect your rights and benefits.
The skill level of the mentioned designation, "Industrial Electrician," would depend on the specific job duties and responsibilities outlined in your contract.
However, in general, an industrial electrician is considered a skilled worker with specialized knowledge and training in electrical systems and equipment used in industrial settings.

Greetings,
Greetings.
The salary and job title, as agreed upon in the job offer, must be the same as in the employment contract.
Talk to the employer to amend the contract as agreed upon, so that your labor rights are not harmed in the future.
