How can an employee who is mistreated get deported back home?
Good day,
I have a sister who is African, and she got a job at a ranch. They made her sign a form stating that she received a loan from the employer.
Now, she is being mistreated, overworked, and underpaid. They are threatening that she can't leave and will never be allowed to until her contract is finished.
She does not have any money to repay the loan or even pay for her flights back home. Is there a way that she can be deported back home?
Greetings,
If your sister works in the UAE and there is any breach in the work contract, she can terminate the employment contract According to Article 43 of the Labour Law:
Either party to the contract may terminate the employment contract "for any legitimate reason", provided that warning the other party in writing and continuing to execute the contract during the warning period, which must not be less than one month and not exceed three months.
She must file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in case of any dispute
