What are the chances of getting bail in a civil case?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have applied for bail for my husband on the Public Prosecution website. He was sentenced to 6 months in prison for a criminal case, fined, and deported.
He has now served 7 months in prison. He has a pending civil case, and a lawyer advised me that I can apply for bail, so I did.
The application states that a decision will be made within 5 days. Does this mean I will receive a decision on the 5th day, or any day within 5 days?
What are the chances of him being granted bail?
Thank you!
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.
The "5 days for a decision" typically means that the authorities have up to 5 days to review and make a decision on the bail application. The decision could come on any day within that 5-day period.
The possibility of bail being granted depends on various factors, including the nature of the case, the specific circumstances, and the discretion of the authorities.
