A UAE resident sells apparel on Amazon: Does he need a license?
Hello,
I am a citizen of Russia, but I am currently living in Dubai, UAE. I am already a resident of the UAE and have an Emirates ID.
I am a fashion designer, and I want to create an apparel brand and sell on Amazon. I will start by selling through an individual seller account.
I am not sure if I need a license to sell on Amazon, or if I need to register my new apparel brand in the UAE.
I would be grateful for any information you can provide.

Yes, you need to get a license; not necessarily a full fledge license, but only a Freezone license is sufficient.
As for the other part of the brand, it is optional but I recommend it as I had a client before where Amazon actually accused him of not having his brand authenticated and they ended their relationship with them.
