س: السلام عليكم. لقد رفعت قضية مدنية وحصلت على تسوية حيث حصلت على نصف المبلغ نقدًا والباقي في ثلاثة شيكات وفي نفس الوقت رفعت منعًا من السفر. ارتجعت الثلاثة شيكات وهرب ذلك الشخص من دبي وبعد شهر في عام 2012 فتحت قضية جنائية وحكم على المتهم غيابيًا بالسجن لمدة شهرين. هل ستكون قضيتي لها أي إطار زمني؟ متى تنتهي؟ وفقًا لقانون الشيكات الجديد هل يمكن للمتهم إبطال القضية الجنائية؟ ماذا يجب أن أفعل لتمديد صلاحية قضيتي لتلقي الأموال في المستقبل إذا قرر المتهم العودة إلى دبي؟ مع أطيب التحيات.

س: إسمي رافي، وأعمل في عجمان. اضطررت للقدوم إلى الهند لأمر طارئ في 18 أغسطس. لسوء الحظ، كان هناك شيك بمبلغ 120 ألف درهم إماراتي لأحد الموردين [في الشارقة] وقد ارتجع هذا الشيك. لقد اتصلت شخصيًا وأبلغتهم أنه عند عودتي سأعطيهم المال. إنهم لا يقبلون طلبي وبدأوا يهددون ابني الذي يعيش بمفرده في الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وهو يتصل بي في الهند قائلاً إنهم سيضعونني في السجن في الإمارات [في حال وجودي هناك] وسيقومون برفع قضية جديدة في الهند لمنعي من السفر إلى الإمارات العربية المتحدة. والآن يطالبونني بدفع مبلغ 140 ألف درهم، وإلا فلن يسحبوا القضية ضدّي. إذا قمت بترتيب مبلغ 90 ألف درهم وقمت بتسليم جواز السفر، فهل ستسمح لي الشرطة بالخروج لترتيب المبلغ المتبقي؟ في حال تمكنت من ترتيب مبلغ 120 ألف درهم، هل سيتم الإفراج عني؟ هل هناك أي سبيل لإنهاء الموضوع دون القبض علي؟ إذا وصلت إلى مطار دبي، هل سأرحل إلى الشارقة؟ أم إلى عجمان؟ يرجى تقديم المشورة عن كيفية حل هذا الأمر.

What to do if I have a case to pay the amount of two bounced rental cheques?

Q: I live in a Sharjah flat. Two of my cheques bounced and the third cheque went smoothly. Now my building real estate lawyer doesn't want to take one payment at a time. He wants the full money of two bounced cheques plus the lawyer fees, which is huge too. Is this fair?

I purchased a tour voucher from a holiday agency in Dubai in 2023 worth AED 4239.00, but was not able to use it due to a visa problem. I have constant email and communication through phone with them, and they informed me back then that my voucher will be available and has no expiration date that I can use anytime I want. Now I wanted to use it, so I called them last Saturday, 31st May 2025, and they told me it has already expired due to the new policy. Can I still claim and ask for my money back?

Cargo from Dubai to India arrived late and damaged. What should I do?

Hello, I had sent a cargo from Dubai to India. I received the cargo late and with 35% damage. My TV, for which I had paid AED 1500 separately as cargo fees, was received after nearly 2 months in a completely damaged condition.
