How can I guarantee the safety of my child and I if I file divorce against an abusive husband?
I am an Indian lady who is suffering domestic abuse and violence with video evidence.
I work in the UAE and my husband is on a visit visa. He is traveling back to India and this is when I will issue the divorce papers.
My fear is he will come back to the UAE and abuse me further once he sees the divorce papers. I don't want to leave the UAE as this is where my job is.
I have a 3-year-old son and want to remain safe here. Is there any way I can issue a protection order or travel ban against my husband to ensure the safety of myself and my child?

Hi,
Do not fear at all as you can issue a protection order and a travel ban would be imposed on your husband as well.

Madam, you cannot record video or audio without consent.
It is a criminal offense. You can file a complaint against your husband with the police, and the police will give a warning.
It would be better if you had some medical documentation confirming the physical abuse.
You may also seek assistance from the Embassy and welfare organizations.
A travel ban can be issued to prevent a party from leaving the country without the consent of the other party.
