Bank loan and termination of employment due to medical condition
Dear Sir,
I have a loan from Dubai Islamic Bank. I paid only 6 instalments and the company terminated me due to medical unfitness after I had a heart surgery.
Please advise me what to do.
Dear questioner,
Kindly note that your medical condition and the employment status will not help you to avoid the repayment of your debt with the bank.
What I would advise you in this regard is to find a job as soon as possible and contact the bank to reschedule your loan instalments to fit the new income.
On the other hand, your company has made a mistake terminating your employment based on your medical condition and you should be compensated for arbitrary dismissal unless you have exhausted all your sick leave paid days as per the law.
