Refusing to return a security cheque after securing the loan with another
Q: I issued a security cheque to my company owner for another employee loan who did not have a bank account at that time. Now, the same employee has a bank account and a cheque book and he has issued cheque against his loan to the company, to which I issued cheque before. At the back of both cheques (Issued by me and another employee) mentioned that cheques are only for security purpose against the employee loan. My owner is refusing to return back my cheque. What should I do? She is now holding 2 security deposit cheques against 1 single amount of loan. Questions & Answers

Holding the gratuity of an employee for a penalty incurred on the company
Q: Thanks. Just one more doubt. My company has incurred some penalty for an order executed 3 years back, and now, when they received the payment they received after deduction of penalty. I was only a part of the delivery but the one in charge overall was our project manager who was taking care of that project and he was in charge of getting the delivery date extended from the customer. Since our project manager is not there in the company as he left the company, and I was under the supervision of the project team only taking care delivery, can the company subject me to penalty and hold my gratuity? Obligation to pay visa expenses to the employer upon resignation
Q: Hi Mr Hari, Hope you`re doing well. I would like to ask if I`m obliged to pay my employer before I can leave the company. I`m currently employed in a free zone company in Al Qouz for 3 months, and I`m still in the probationary period. I would like to resign because I got another job and also I`m not comfortable with the environment; that`s why I look for another opportunity. Now, my employer would like me to pay a sum of AED 5250. Q: Hi, I am a defendant of a case for drinking alcohol in a public place. The court called us for a hearing session on 14.5.2019. In that, they told us that the judgement will be on 22.5.2019. But when we went on 22.5.2019 and inquired about my judgement, They did not fine and instead they told us that the court has returned this case to public prosecution. Q: Hi Mr Hari Wadhwana. Greetings. My Name is S. I want to ask a query about my brother`s visit visa. My brother came in 2007 from India on a visit visa but he did work without employment visa. After that, he left to India as per the UAE Law which is announced by the UAE Govt. The law gives a limited time to leave the UAE for whoever worked without an employment visa. Claiming passport from the employer after labour card cancellation
Q: Dear Madam, How can I get my passport from my employer? My employer has filed a case against me for misappropriation of company money in Sharjah Police Station. When I went to my employer to claim for my passport to deposit in the police, he refused to give my passport and I deposited my wife`s passport and faced the inquiry officer and they released me. How can I get my passport from the employer and deposit the same with the police station so that my wife can get back her passport? My labour card and insurance card are already cancelled by my employer since last 2 months before filing the case against me. The procedure of settling a criminal case to return to Dubai
Q: I have a police complaint filed against me. I`m out of the country. Somebody contracted me to process Europe Citizenship for him and his family. However, I left the country during the process and couldn`t return due to circumstances beyond my control. Now, I want to come back to Dubai to continue my business. I have tried everything possible to sort the issue out with the complainant but he is refusing to accept negotiations with me. Now, I want to come back to Dubai with his amount of AED 30.000 in hands.
