The following steps after getting the first instance court judgment in a labor case
Q: My previous employer refused to pay me. I launched a case against them. After multiple rounds of court, a judgment was made. Although I didn`t get what I had hoped/claimed, the employer appealed against it. The appeal from my ex-employer was made on 24th March. Given the current situation globally, does anyone know what are the next steps? Do I have to go to court again? Is there a hearing date? Do I need another lawyer to present my case again? Staying in the UAE after visa cancellation till ending the school year
Q: Good morning, I`ve been dismissed effective the 24th of April 2020. After working visa cancellation, I have been told that I have to leave UAE within the following 30 days, which means before the 24th of May. My little kids are attending school, year 1 and year 6, and I would like them to continue in the same school; ending the first week of July. But they are giving me the correct salary. Checking for a travel ban and settling a loan with a bank
Q: I defaulted on a loan plus credit cards. I have left UAE almost a year ago and stopped paying my loan and credit cards. The security check I have issued was AED 350,000 but the outstanding loan amount was only 181,000. Now I got a job offer and I am trying to discuss with the bank the settlement plan. The bank advised me that the total outstanding including two credit cards is 240,000. They are not cooperative and do not respond on time. If I sign the employment contract and travel to the UAE, what are my chances? 1. Will it be possible to be jailed? Denied a work permit or employment visa? 2. Q: I have been working in a private company since September 2006. Recently they made my position redundant, I am now serving my notice period of three months. Procedures for the execution of a labor court judgment
Q: I won a case. My final judgement came on 2 march and my employer has to pay me 20000. The judgement came in the absence of the employer and I filed the notification case on 19 March to notify the judgement of the court. Delaying work permit issuance and the responsibility for overstay fines
Q: I have resigned from “A” after receipt of a job offer from “B”. Then, I kept my family visa on hold and asked "A" to cancel my visa almost 1 week before my last working day. I submitted my visa cancellation paper along with a singed MOI contract to “B”. Now "B" is not responding well and asks me to stay with “A” because of the present COVID 19 lockdown situation. After wasting lots of time, B confirmed that they have applied for a work permit, however, I haven’t received any official confirmation from B`s HR. I have checked online on MOHRE website and it shows pre-approval for a work permit. If "B" will not be responding, should I need to worry about my job and visa status? In case "B" will not be responding, do I need to leave the UAE before my visa expiry date. i.e 30 days after visa cancellation? If I stay in the country and join "B" someday, who must pay the overstay fine; B or I?
