Can the tenant hold the rent if the landlord failed to fix the AC?
Q: Greetings, A brief about the rental dispute that we have with our office bldg owner: So our office landlord has recently filed a legal case with the Rental Disputes Center against our company. They are demanding us to pay the unpaid rent from March 2020 onwards. We felt it would be unfair for us to continue paying since we have been suffering from a frustrating AC issue since July 2019, and this particular issue has been from the building’s central unit apparently, During the past 2 years of having this issue, we contacted the landlord and his team so many times and asked them to resolve the matter, but these guys didn’t really take any proper steps to resolve the issue. Please note below the clause mentioned in the contract between us & the landlord: "Lessor shall keep the premises in a good state of repair and fit for habitation." How to sue a dentist for failing to fix teeth after five year in braces?
Q: I had my braces from a dental clinic in 2016. My teeth had a slanted angle back then. The treatment lasted for 5 years, but then the X-ray showed that the roots of my teeth were shortened and the dentist said we have to stop the treatment and remove the braces because of the risk of losing my teeth. I was very dissatisfied with what happened. I asked what caused the shortening of roots and he did not give me a definite answer. He said probably because I’ve had braces for too long. So to cut the story short, they removed my braces this June. After 5 years, the angle of my tooth is still bad and slanted. I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure if this is a reasonable post. But the fact that it took so long for them to fix my teeth and in the end, they were only able to correct the bite. Questions & Answers

Is it possible to resign with immediate effect in case of forced salary reduction?
Q: Good day, I just want to ask what can I do to legally resign immediately from my company. Because of Covid, our company is deducting 25% on our salary and hours of work. But they didn`t notify me of that deduction. I was just shocked that my salary is deducted. I have 1 year of service with them but until now they didn`t give a full salary since my 1st day of work. Now It is hard for me to budget my salary for 1 month. I only have AED 2000 salary per month and it has a 25% deduction so the total is only AED 1500. My position in the company is IT Specialist, but my profession in my residence visa is a laborer. My question is, how can I resign to them immediately without getting a labor ban or giving a notice period? The effect of changing the original SPA many times
Q: Based on Dubai`s strong reputation, we invested and now own a couple of off-plan properties in the UAE. (1) Over the years, the master developer has changed the SPA agreement 3 times - how does this affect the original SPA which many owners still hold? (2) The original SPA does not allow for "sharing or staff accommodation or AirBnB units within the development yet the developer allows this (claiming this is a government directive). How to get employee's rights after delaying the salary for three months?
Q: Hello sir, My salary has been delayed for three months now. We are in June and since March, I haven`t got my salary. On the other side, I have a loan for which an installment is due since last month. Hence, I tried to get a new job which I finally got. Based on that, I have given resignation with one month notice period as my contract is unlimited. Q: My friend had a bounced cheque case in 2018. He was arrested and sentenced for one month but still did not get to pay. He has been arrested again in 2021 and jailed without been arraigned to court. The case is a civil case.
