Q: I was terminated from employment in June 2021 after receiving and working 1 month`s notice. I was on an unlimited contract. I am still waiting for 2 months` salary, gratuity and leave payment which my employer accepts is due but still not paid. I have raised a complaint with MOHRE and have the approval to go to Court. However, I was terminated as a result of the employer citing that due to COVID-19 they need to reduce salaries by 30%, letter dated 22nd Apr 2021. As I refused to sign, I was then terminated, via a letter dated 3rd May 2021, which stated "due to restructuring", my position had become redundant. The question is - Am I able to claim Arbitrary Dismissal for up to 3 months salary for the unfair termination?

Q: Hi, I had paid AED 20k as an expression of interest to a developer for a property on 18th June 2021. After the new phase was launched, the price and payment plan was out of my budget and hence did not go ahead with the booking. I filled up the refund form on 5th July and sent it to them. At the time of paying EoI, they promised that the deposit will be returned to my card in 2 days. Q: Good evening, I am writing to you in hopes of any help you can provide me. I have worked for a company in Dubai. Last week Aug 3, 2021, I was terminated (well I am not sure if I was terminated, because my visa expired on May 10, 2021, and the employer did not renew it). They asked me not to come to work anymore. On top of that, the employer did not pay June and July salaries (technically I worked with them till Aug 3, 2021). How can an employee execute a labor case judgment?

Q: Hi, My ex-employer (DMCC company) refused to pay my salary and end of service which led to me file a court case against them. I won the case in the 1st court and appeals court which led me to go ahead with the execution. I have managed to get their trade license blocked however they are still functioning. As they do not have a name board, I was told by Al Adheed that I cannot put the request to the court to seal their office. Finally, I went ahead with the manager arrest request, which got rejected. I’m not sure why this happened as I won the case! Could you kindly let me know what I can do from here?
