Q: I had my braces from a dental clinic in 2016. My teeth had a slanted angle back then. The treatment lasted for 5 years, but then the X-ray showed that the roots of my teeth were shortened and the dentist said we have to stop the treatment and remove the braces because of the risk of losing my teeth. I was very dissatisfied with what happened. I asked what caused the shortening of roots and he did not give me a definite answer. He said probably because I’ve had braces for too long. So to cut the story short, they removed my braces this June. After 5 years, the angle of my tooth is still bad and slanted. I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure if this is a reasonable post. But the fact that it took so long for them to fix my teeth and in the end, they were only able to correct the bite.

Q: Good day, I just want to ask what can I do to legally resign immediately from my company. Because of Covid, our company is deducting 25% on our salary and hours of work. But they didn`t notify me of that deduction. I was just shocked that my salary is deducted. I have 1 year of service with them but until now they didn`t give a full salary since my 1st day of work. Now It is hard for me to budget my salary for 1 month. I only have AED 2000 salary per month and it has a 25% deduction so the total is only AED 1500. My position in the company is IT Specialist, but my profession in my residence visa is a laborer. My question is, how can I resign to them immediately without getting a labor ban or giving a notice period? Or can I get my deducted salary for 1 year and pay it for my immediate resignation in the company?

A car rental company delays returning the security deposit after receiving their car

Q: I have not received my security deposit from a car rental company in Dubai. I returned the car on 3rd, April 2021 and have received confirmation of the return amount (834.35 AED) on 17th May 2021. How to get employee's rights after delaying the salary for three months?

Q: Hello sir, My salary has been delayed for three months now. We are in June and since March, I haven`t got my salary. On the other side, I have a loan for which an installment is due since last month. Hence, I tried to get a new job which I finally got. Based on that, I have given resignation with one month notice period as my contract is unlimited. My employer doesn`t seem to be in a position to settle my end of service for 3 years, 2 months vacation salary, and 4-month salary including June; around 60000 to be paid. Please advise how to get this money and start working with the next opportunity? Thanks!

He has been arrested again in 2021 and jailed without been arraigned to court. The case is a civil case. Who is responsible for the damages of a rented apartment due to water leaks?

Q: I have been renting an apartment for 1.5 years in Dubai. Recently, the kitchen ceiling leaked and the water has gone into the wooden cabinets and 3 of the cabinets have completely rotted from inside. All of our food in there is destroyed. Not only that, but the water from the leak mixed with the glue from the wooden cabinets and became brown and sticky. It is now all over the worktops and the floor and appliances in the kitchen. There are puddles of brown water on the floor. The entire kitchen is unusable. The main maintenance person first refused to visit the apartment to inspect the damage. He only came when we insisted and then told us we have to wait until next Thursday to get the work done. Meanwhile, we cannot use the kitchen, every day the water is spreading more and more and there are now flies everywhere (and the smell is terrible). Can I legally deduct the rent for the number of weeks we have been without a kitchen? I need to pay rent for the second half of the year in August.
