Filing a case by a wife for maintenance while having a job

Q: Hi sir, I need to open a file in Abu Dhabi for a maintenance case against my husband. We are not living together since1.5 years. He is working in Dubai. I am under my father`s sponsorship and currently working. I don`t have children. I need to ask if I can get the maintenance amount even though I am working with a labor card. How much will I claim for the maintenance amount? After how many days will I receive my maintenance amount? How much are your fees?

س: السلام عليكم ويعطيكم العافية، بعد عملي مع شركتي السابقة لمدة سنتان، قدمت استقالتي ووافقوا عليها. تأخرت الشركة أكثر من ٢٠ يومًا في إيداع مستحقاتي لكنني لم أكترث بالتأخير لأنني قلت أن بيننا عيش وملح ولن يحرموني منها أو ينقصوها؛ لكن توقعاتي كانت خاطئة. حاولوا حرماني من بعضها ومع إصراري على باقي المستحقات لم يوافقوا، فأخبرتهم بأني أرجو منكم الحل السلمي بدون اللجوء للقضاء، لكن ما فعلوه في اليوم التالي أنهم رفعوا ضدي بلاغ هروب! أريد التنويه إلى أني فتاة. أرجو أن تخبروني وتدلوني؛ ماذا يمكن أن أقدم ضد الشركة من مطالبات قانونية كضرر نفسي وغيره، لأن ما حصل فيه ظلم كبير لي، فماذا يمكن أن أفعل؟ وكيف آخذ حقي؟ جزاكم الله خيرًا!

Q: I am about to purchase a property. It was rented to an Emirati couple until 28-12-2021 (as mentioned on the agreement). We are all set for transfer and I was looking forward to staying there. What is the reason for rejecting police clearance certificate after dropping charges?

Q: Dear All, I`m facing a case since 2013 but charges of breach of trust were dropped. However, I suffer to obtain a police certificate from Dubai police. I applied 4 times but still got rejected. Even though charges were dropped in 2018 but the same case still appears on Dubai police online portal. Is this the reason the Dubai police have rejected my application for PCC? I even have the file of the dropped case. What can I do in this case?

How to recover the amount of bounced cheques under the new law?

Q: Hi, I have a cheque bounce from a person who owes me 63,000 AED. They are two cheques; one for 43,000 and another for 20,000 have bounced. How can I recover my money? The person continues to ask for more time but it has been 4 months now and I no longer trust him. Please let me know the timelines, also whether a travel ban will be imposed on him with the recent change in the law (decriminalization of cheque bounce). How can I make sure whether a job offer is genuine or scam in Dubai?

Q: Hi, I received a job offer in Dubai as an electrical/instrumentation supervisor but I`m just a bit confused for two reasons: 1) The starting monthly salary is AED 93,500.00 plus other benefits of AED 12,000.00 2) The company asked me to pay for the visa and for the work permit in the UAE (the site seems original and genuine..). The sum would be repaid at the beginning of the work in Dubai. This is strange because I have never advanced money for a visa in my passport and for a work permit when I worked abroad out of Italy I suppose this is a fake job offer. Thanks and regards G.

س: السلام عليكم، دخلت وأربعة شركاء في مشروع. المحاسب كان أحد الشركاء وهو أخ لصاحب رأس المال. بعد سنة من العمل، أخبرنا أن المشروع تعرض لخسارة وعرض على الشركاء جزء من البضاعة مقابل شيكات بنكية وفي حال لم نتمكن من التصرُّف في البضاعة أو التعثُّر، يمكن العودة للشركة. وفعلاً بعد شهر أعدت البضاعة للشركاء لسببين: أولاً: تعثُّر تصريف البضاعة، والثاني: أن طريقة المحاسب في حساب الأرباح والخسائر كما علمت لم تكن صحيحة وأعطت خسارة المشروع. استلم اثنان من الشركاء البضاعة ولم يُعد الشريك الذي حررت الشيك باسمه الشيكات لي وأصبح يطالبني بالسداد من خلال دعاوى قضائية. ما الحل في هذه القضية؟

س: موظف أنهى عقد عمل محدد المدة خلال فترة التجربة بإخطار إنهاء قبل يوم واحد، وعقد العمل الخاص به كان ينص على شرط التجربة وبنفس الوقت على شرط إخطار مدة شهر. هل الموظف ملزم بدفع بدل إخطار الشهر إذا أنهى عقد عمله خلال التجربه بإخطار يوم واحد (استقالة بشكل فوري)؟

Sending a non-renewal notice by a new owner of a property while it was sent before

Q: Dear sir/madam, I am considering buying a residential property that is currently rented out. If the current owner issues the 12-month notice to the tenant, will that notice still be in effect when I purchase the property? Or will I have to serve notice again?
