Criminal case and travel ban for defaulting on bank payments
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I currently have a lot of debts piling up. I was making payments on time for months. But for the last 3-6 months` Salary has been delayed in arriving in my account. When it does arrive it is not the full amount its less than 50%. This problem has led to me missing payments. Delay in payments and paying further interest rates. But now I`m at my limit and I don`t think I will be able to make the payments or get back on track unless I get all the money that is owed to me. I have highlighted my problem to the company but they have ignored my points and stated they are going through a bit of trouble. I tried looking for another job but the market is bad. I`m now getting emails from banks about security cheque deposits and travel ban. If I do get a travel ban and the cheque bounces, what happens? Can I still work to make payments or is that the judge`s call? Please advise

Inspection of criminal record and arrest warrant
Q: I left the UAE in September 2014 but I think there is a potential that I may have an outstanding arrest warrant. I have only copies of expired passport, visa and Emirates ID from that time but nothing new as I am not in the country, therefore never renewed the Emirates ID or visa. What documents do you need to check if a warrant exists? How long do these warrants last for? Would a 2014 warrant still be valid in 2018 or next year?

Dealing with the husband appeal against a maintenance order
Q: Hi Sir We are Indian Hindu married for 13 years and have two boys. We lived in Dubai for three years. My husband cancelled my visa, sent us to India and deserted us from July 2017. Legal consequences of a cheque case in a rental matter
Q: My cousin who had taken flats has a criminal case and case filed at the Rental Dispute Centre. The landlord used his guarantee cheques (empty & signed) to file the criminal case. But the amount is huge and not true because part of that has been paid. Since he is overstaying because of this case, he plans to surrender to police and hopefully pay a fine or a short jail term, as he is not able to pay the landlord the amount. Will the amnesty help his situation in reducing the jail term? Is the case filed with Rental Dispute Centre considered a civil case? What if the case has been forwarded to court with a judgement of a 1-year term, will he serve the term or can just pay a fine? By the way, the amount of 2 cheques was more than 200k for each cheque.
