Q: Hi, Hope you are doing well. I was just wondering if it is legal for a company to provide a positive google review about themselves. I have been dealing with a car garage and I think they are taking advantage of me and letting me pay for their mistakes, brought the car in 4 times already and spent more than AED 4000 and now it`s still not fixed. Am thinking to file a complaint with consumer rights. My last bill didn`t specify anything, just "labor 1000dhs" but not on what was done (change of rubber and oil top-up). And now I see the guy who is in charge of my car/working on it, left a good review about the garage as if he was a customer while he works there. Is this even legal? Thank you.

Can the employee take annual leave before finishing one year in service?

Q: Hi, I am an employee working here in Dubai, UAE for 10 months now. I`m planning to file a leave for 2 days, however, my colleague informed me that as per the company policy, they consider it as absent then I will get a full basic + accommodation only. Q: Hi. My new employer renewed my ID and visa. The only thing is that when my Emirates ID and visa were done, they didn`t show me any contract nor did I sign it. They didn`t provide me with a copy of it. So I want to ask if I can complain regarding this matter? Thanks in advance.

How to issue a POA when the principal is in India and does not have UAE residency?

Q: My friend needs a POA. The issuer of the POA is in India and is an Indian National and does not have a UAE residency. The receiver of the POA is in the UAE and is Indian National with a UAE residence visa. The POA is needed for the sale/rent/eviction of a specific property. Is the POA by a non-resident accepted in the UAE courts, or only the old method of Indian POA with MOFA and translation to be done?

Can the bank file a second case and travel ban after detention and fine payment?

Q: Good evening Sir. I took a loan in 2017, the amount is AED 60 000. After 1 year, I lost my job and I couldn`t find a job. I left the UAE. In 2019, I returned back to the UAE. In Dubai airport, they held me for 1 hour and they told me to pay a fine. I paid AED 5000. In 2020 I left the UAE again. Now I found a job and I`m planning to go to the UAE again but I am afraid that at the airport it will be a problem again. Can the Bank file a case for the second time? Or is there any criminal case or civil case?

س: السلام عليكم، أنا مهندسة كنت أعمل في شركة مقاولات في أبو ظبي وقد رفعت شكوى عمالية في مايو ٢٠٢١ نظرًا لتأخر الشركة في سداد رواتب ٥ أشهر وتحولت إلى المحكمة. حصلت على حكم نهائي وعلى حكم تنفيذ بتاريخ ٢١/٠٩/٢٠٢١ وحكم بالحجز على حسابات البنوك والسيارات والمعدات وحكم بضبط وإحضار مدير الشركة وحكم بالحجز على مقر الشركة ولكن لم يحدث أي شيء ولم أستلم مستحقاتي والشركة قائمة حتى الآن وتُصرف رواتب العمال حتى الآن بدون أي قيود على حساباتهم. هل كل هذا طبيعي و فعلاً يأخذ وقتًا؟ كيف يمكنني أن أتصرف للحصول على مستحقاتي؟ مع العلم أنا خارج الإمارات حاليًا.
