Sorting a new visa and other issues during a pending labour case
Q: Hi. I left my job with a Dubai based financial company (Not free zone) in March 2017, as I suspected my employer was taking deductions without my permission. I have asked for a final settlement of AED 68000 which they refused, and are asking me AED 16000 in return for bonuses paid. I was not able to work my 30 days notice as they blocked my office access, email and database. I have my first hearing due on the 9th of November, but my visa expires on the 18th of October. I am in a predicament because I have to travel next week for medical treatment in the UK and I have to take another job since I am not earning. Please advise what I can do. After the 18th of October, I will not have medical insurance. Is it possible I can get my visa cancelled without employer approval? Also, how can I arrange the travel approval? Thanks for your help.

How to act to defend your case upon receiving a legal notice

I own a property in Dubai (I have a Title Deed) and I am still trying to get the keys, but the developer is refusing to hand the keys, asking for extra money. I suppose he is the one who opened this case. I am also not living in Dubai and would simply like to know, what to do in order to protect myself and take some action before it is too late. Cancellation of visa/labour contract while having a court case with the employer
Q: Hi, I have a Labor case in Dubai Courts. The Court already issued a judgment that the employer has to pay me. But the Company is not here. My visa is expired since last one month and I need to cancel it because I have the Offer Letter from another company. I am having a hard time since I am running behind this issue since Ramadan. My visa expired on the third of May 2017, and till this date, my employer has not renewed my visa. Police case for bounced cheques issued for rent
Q: We rented a business working space at one of the business centres. We used the premises for two months but the service was very bad. Moreover, our business was a startup, hence it didn`t take up. The business centre management had agreed on vacating the place within a week as per our deal. Now, they are not returning our security cheque. We were supposed to pay only AED 4000 for an early exit. They are arm-twisting us by depositing our monthly cheques along with the security deposit, which of course bounced and they made a police case for which we paid the fine.
