Checking visa status after exiting the UAE for more than six months
Q: I was on an investor residence visa in the UAE up to 2010. I had to leave back to my home country and stay due to family issues. In the meantime, my residence visa expired in 2011 and I did not go back since then. I apprehend, there might be some problems due to my long absence. Precautions during court proceedings to guarantee your rights at execution
Q: I am seeking compensation for damages from a company that used my name in fraud. I have finished the case until the appeal court and the execution court has ordered that the company assets and accounts be attached until they pay the sum required as per the judgement. The company has been closed since last year and has no more money left in the bank. If there are no more assets of the company I could go after since the company no longer exists, how else can I get justice aside from the words written on a few sheets of my case judgement paper? I`ve spent a lot and exerted a lot of effort seeking justice for myself, and when it is time to collect what the judge has determined what I should have, apparently there is nothing left. Is there any other legal recourse? Thanks

Checking an unforeseen police case after leaving the UAE
Q: Hi, I was employed in Abu Dhabi from September 2003 to February 2004 by a well known marine consultancy. The contract I had was initially for 6 months and then I could return to the UK or remain in Abu Dhabi full time. I informed my line manager in December that I would be leaving in three months, and that was my notice period. As far as I was aware, I did everything properly and left mid-February. I requested that any mail or bills be forwarded to me in the UK, this never happened. I left money in the bank (HSBC) to cover credit cards (two), only small amount of debt AED 1500. However, I expected my employer to forward all mail. I received a demand for money from an agent of HSBC which was duly paid. I since emailed the bank to ensure that I never owed anything. I believe that two former associates of the company deliberately opened and kept my mail. My question is how can I find out if there is a police case against me, please? Best regards, HMOct 10, 2017
