Liability for bounced cheque of work paid accomodation
Q: Hi Naser, Got a question. My company is responsible for paying for my accommodation as it`s listed in my work contract. However, the apartment leasing contract is under my name and the 4 cheques are paid by my company. One cheque was bounced 4 months ago (the landlord sent us an email asking to pay for it and the company promised to do but couldn`t). In 1 week, the last cheque will get bounced too, due to insufficient funds and financial problem in the company. Adding to this, I got terminated last week. Can the landlord file a case against me (how much time it takes, would I receive a travel ban)? Or will they deal ONLY with the company? I can`t pay anything from my side so would they ask me to leave the apartment immediately? Can I take my furniture out or they have the right to keep it? What is the worst consequence that can happen to me? Thanks

Q: My husband has been constantly abusing me and has taken a lot of money from me. I have been fed up and want to end this, I had contacted 800111 but hadn`t taken a medical report. Q: Hi. One of my customers had taken some products on credit and gave me two cheques of AED 300000 (total AED 600K). At the due date of the cheque, the customer asked not to put the cheques in the bank as he’s short of money. When I asked for money he made some excuses. I fear he may run away from the UAE. Assistance with following up a case in the labour court
Q: Greetings!!! I have filed a salary complaint against my employer in the MOL on 01/07/2018 for not paying me the salaries for 9 months and giving all sorts of excuses from illness to lack of funds till date. Meeting my ends have gotten worse for me. After my complaint was filed to labour office a date was scheduled for amicable settlement by labour office which was attended by myself and the staff of my employer where after my case was referred to the court. My case file was handed over to me and I was directed to go to the appointed typing centres for filing my case. I have followed the process on 10/07/2018 but as the papers that I received are in Arabic I cannot understand what’s written and how to identify the case number. I have difficulties in managing even a small amount now so that I could translate the papers into English and follow further procedures. I don’t even know whether my case has been filed by the typing centre in the court or not. Could you please assist me further?
