Termination of purchased properties after defaulting on payments due to COVID-19
Q: Hi there, We are UK based investors, having purchased 4 off-plan properties in Dubai. Two are completed and ready for handover. For the other two, construction appears to have been paused for at least the last year. This last year we have not been able to maintain our instalments on all 4 properties, primarily because of COVID-19. We have now received termination notifications from DLD. We have tried to negotiate some solution with the developer but they seem unwilling to cooperate. We have also contacted the DLD to explain the circumstances and request an extension but haven`t heard anything. What can we do?

The way to claim company shares from partner after breaking partnership
Q: With an equal partnership in a company, my silent partner (Sole Investor) wants to part way. With all the financial authority (i.e. Bank account) he has transferred all money into his account before resolution. Even I accepted all his demands, he has not come up to transfer the share to me with lame excuses for 4 months that he is BUSY. What lies now with me as the company has been dysfunctional with no acceptance of orders for 4 months. He has put the cut-off date 4 months before. In this scenario, he is also demanding goodwill. I want to find out how to know what is the right amount of goodwill for a small trading company and how to bring him to sign the transfer of share in my name. How to protect my interests as a partner at the incorporation of an LLC
Q: I am a partner in an LLC company with 50% shares each. Since I am not staying in UAE I had given partner all the Power of Attorney to run the business. I need to know if my partner defaults in any payments for license renewal or non-payment of salary. How to deal with changing an off-plan flat's specifications?
Q: I had booked an off-plan flat in 2017 with a park view. I received notice in November for the handover. The developer had asked for PDC`s (balance 70%), Dewa, and district cooling receipts for the snagging and handover. I had given the PDC`s and receipts. Q: Hi, My name is A. I was working in Dubai since 2013 and I lost my job in April 2019. I cancelled my residence visa and took a visit visa for one month. But due to some credit card case, I was not able to renew the visa and I overstayed 6 months. I had to exit the UAE on 26th November 2019 without a pass. Legal status of a company general manager if the owner fled for debts
Q: Dear Sir, I had a General Manager visa from an FZE company in Hamriyah Free Zone. In 2011, the owner of the company fled the UAE due to financial issues. I was not in the UAE at that time as I used to travel once every 6 months only. When I got the news that the owner fled the country, I did not travel on that visa and let the visa expire. I have not been to the UAE after that. I want to come back to the UAE to start a business but I do not know if have an immigration ban or blacklist since my employer fled the country.
