The judgment was made in absentia, with a penalty of a 5000 dirham fine. I paid the fine before the Eid holidays, and the "wanted" status was cleared. However, the public prosecution has appealed the judgment, arguing that the penalty was too lenient. I have another hearing on May 17. Should I file an appeal now or after the hearing on the 17th?

Q: Dears I took a wireless account from Etisalat and they were not giving the service properly so I asked them on 3rd day they told me to do troubleshooting by application but still it was the same. Then I contacted them to cancel the account on the 5th day but they said I need to get a technical complaint number which I was not getting from them. So I called the salesperson and he came to my home and changed it with the landline and told me that he will cancel the wireless account in 3 months. After 5 months, Etisalat came back to me and asked for payments and told me that if I do not pay, they will block all my other connections even though I didn’t receive any invoice or reminder from Etisalat. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have renewed my lease contract for 5 months. It expires on July 6th, 2023. It has this clause "This contract is not renewable". I have asked the landlord to have a new contract for 7 months in order to complete the 1-year rent. He declined and said that he has the intention of selling the house and I should leave by the expiry date. It is 68 days before expiry. Should he give me 12 months` notice? Or what is the effect of that "not renewable" clause?

Q: Hi, I have been provided with a 90-day notice regarding my renewal but the amount was not mentioned (told over the phone that it will be 1000 more than the previous year). When I recently followed up with them, they informed me that the bike lacked compression and power and needed new piston parts. This seems implausible since the engine was running smoothly before the rebuild. It appears that the mechanic did not properly assemble the engine initially, and now they want to charge me an additional 10000 AED to fix their mistake. They continue to increase the cost and make excuses for the delay, even though it should not take three months to rebuild an engine. What are my options?

Which of these types of settlement attempts does this current lawsuit fall under? Question 2: Is it possible to claim lack of jurisdiction at this stage? The matter that my ex-wife has raised is related to a loan that I gave her. Loans are not controlled by personal status law, even if the loan was between spouses.
