Q: I made an agreement with my previous employer that my outstanding dues will be paid to me by the employer after one year from the cancellation of my visa.
Now two years have passed but I did not receive my pending dues.
What to do?

Labour law claims are time barred after one year

Q: I have worked for a company in a senior management role for two years and resigned due to my personal reasons.
My resignation was accepted and I was asked to hand over the charge to new management since more than one year ago now. My visa was also cancelled after a few months of my resignation.
The new management took the charge and could not manage the business efficiently after my exit, and the business which resulted in the termination of the new management.
The company is now blaming me that during my tenure with the company earlier, there was some wrong decision taken which has caused losses to the company.
The company now wants to file a legal case against me. I am getting several threatening messages and calls to come back and resolve the old issues, which is causing me mental torture and disturbance in my family.
I am not in a position to help the company to recover their irreparable damages now.
Please advise what is the UAE labour law for such a situation.

Can I still claim my labor dues after signing the visa cancellation papers?

Q: I resigned from my company because I had a better job offer.
The previous company did not pay me all the salaries and end-of-service benefits with excuses that they are not doing very well but that in the next few months they will deposit money on my account.
I signed the visa cancelation paper not knowing that it is stated that I received all the dues that the company owes me. Since my resignation, it has passed a couple of months and I still haven't received anything.
The last time when I asked, the company representatives told me that they will not pay me and I can go to court.
Do I actually have a legal ground for a complaint regarding the statement on my visa cancelation paper?

أنهت الشركة خدماتي، المكان أبو ظبي، وهي شركة تجارية والسبب الانتقال إلى الأمام بالقسم وإعادة هيكلته. العقد غير محدد المدة. في هذه الحالة، هل يُعد هذا سببًا لإنهاء خدماتي؟
لقد أعطوني شهر الإنذار وكان لنهاية شهر ٢/٢٠٢٢ وقد بدأ دوامي بشهر ١٢/٢٠٢٠. لم آخذ إجازة سنوية وقد بعثوا لي الشيك بمكافأة الخدمة والإجازة السنوية على أساس الراتب الأساسي فقط.
أرجوكم أفيدوني قانونيًا! هل هذا هو الصحيح أم هناك خطأ في هذه الحالة؟
يريدون أن أوقّع وأستلم الشيك. ماذا أفعل؟

Our internal contract has a notice period of 3 months from both parties. In the new labor implementation, only one month's notice is required for less than 5 years of service.
Please advise if we can follow our internal contract since the position is very curtailed and the organization will not be able to replace the position within one month.

Some say it is basic + HRA for the month you will take off, others say it is full salary, and somewhere I read it is basic + HRA (annual leave salary) plus the normal salary you get.

How to appeal the labor judgment if the court did not approve all my dues? 0
My employer has not paid my salary for 8.5 months. I went to the labor court, and was referred to Dubai Courts.
The judgment came and I did not receive the full claim including salaries and 3 months' compensation.
