Ongoing labor case and timeline for visa cancellation
Good evening.
I have filed a labour case against my company for arbitrary dismissal and it is still ongoing.
Is it alright to travel to my home country or another country even while my case is ongoing?
Also, can the employer cancel my visa even while the case is ongoing?
We are in a free zone and they said the free zone authority advised that the visa can be cancelled by the company after 90 days from the time the complaint was endorsed to court. Is this correct?
Appreciate your advice.
Thank you

Hello,
Please note that since your visa is issued from a free zone, it will be cancelled by the free zone authority.
The best option, in this case, is to get approval from the court that the free zone visa can be cancelled and your labour case will carry on without any issues.
Subsequently, you may file an application to get your passport released from the free zone authority to apply for any other job.
If the visa is issued by a mainland company, the visa cancellation may result in the withdrawal of the labour case as well. You may apply for a temporary work permit for the term of 6 months.
