Lending money to a friend and the legal way to recover it
Hi,
I had helped my friend by lending him some amount of AED 62,000.00 and he has given me confirmation on a summary prepared by me.
Is it legally valid? Can I go to the court to attest that document?
I have a cheque of AED 16,800.00 but later I knew he closed that account.
May I deposit that cheque of AED 16,800.00 and file a complaint to get AED 62,000 on it?

What do u mean that he gave confirmation? Did he sign the paper? And what is the content of that summary?
About the attestation, it’s not necessary to file a case. So if he signed that he has to give you the full amount, then you can go to the court and get your money back.
You can also add the cheque amount in the case, so it will be only 1 file with 1 case and the cost will be less.
