We have an MOU which states the extension will be ‘thirty (15)’ days. Which date is valid?

We have an MOU which states the extension will be ‘thirty (15)’ days.

Which date is valid? Fifteen or thirty?

It says this in both English and Arabic. We approved an extension request, but did not get a new MOU, and do not see it on any website.

Is the 30-day extension automatic, so we won’t get a new document?

Greetings,

The validity of the extension in your MOU depends on how the contradiction ("thirty (15) days") is interpreted legally.

Typically, such discrepancies can lead to disputes, and the intent of the parties may be considered.

Since the extension was approved, but no new MOU was issued, it is crucial to review whether an automatic extension applies under your agreement's terms.

To ensure clarity and protect your interests, we recommend a legal review of your MOU. Book a consultation with Future Vision for Advocacy and Legal Consultancy for expert guidance or legal representation if needed.

Best regards
