They told me they're filing a civil case against me. Please tell me about the further procedure if they file a civil case, and if there is any travel ban or any other fine on me.

س: هل هناك مانع من رفع دعوى مدنية بخصوص شيك مرتد ومن ثم التقدُّم ببلاغ لدى الشرطة؟ أي هل سلوك الطريق المدني لا يُسقِط حقي في توقيع العقوبة على الشخص الذي وقَّع على الشيك؟ سبب السؤال أن الشركة التي أصدرت الشيك بدون رصيد صدر قرار من الدولة لوقف اتخاذ إجراءات جزائية ضدها مؤقتًا؛ لذلك أريد أن أسلك الطريق المدني ثم الجزائي لاحقًا.

The management of individual financial affairs is crucial and all the actions must be weighed down while committing to any financial liability. Whether it's job loss that may have lead to financial failure or the opposite, one must be aware of the personal liability which will not diminish by paying fines for cheque bounce cases. There are two major types of liabilities, criminal liability and civil liability. Each has its own significance, hence, must be dealt with accordingly.
