Unpaid credit card dues and Police Clearance Certificate

I had an unpaid credit card and personal loans when I left the UAE in 2018. How can I check if I have any cases against me?

And what will be mentioned on the police clearance certificate, If I apply for any from outside the UAE?

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for getting in touch with me on this.

In all probability, there will be a police case against you for unpaid credit/ loan (the bank would have bounced your cheque and filed police case).

Pursuant to that, a travel ban will be there on you which means you cannot enter the country and if you attempt to do so then you will be detained at the airport.

If you have applied for Police Clearance Certificate and the police cases are there against you, then the request for the certificate will be rejected without assigning any reason.

I suggest that you hire a legal representative in the UAE who will conduct an inspection of police records which will give you details of all the cases.

The said legal representative will pay the fine on your behalf and even obtain clearance certificate for you.

All of this can be done while you are out of the UAE and without the need to face any legal hardship.

You can email me for further assistance and clarification.

Regards,

Hari Wadhwana
