Q: Hi, I lost my job a year ago and I have an outstanding credit card of AED 300k. I've missed the last 9 monthly payments (I am negotiating directly with the bank). I am willing to settle the credit card with one lump sum payment that a friend will lend me. How much discount on the balance of AED 300k can I negotiate to settle the matter? Should I also ask for a clearance/ no liability letter?

Q: I have a police case for a bounced cheque last year March 17. It was against a loan which I drew but later I changed my job. I left the UAE and came back, but before I can do something the bank felt insecurity and immediately they submitted my security cheque to the police station and put a case on me. The same day, I paid the fine and came out. Later, I joined a new company and provided the necessary documents and new security cheque. My account was then regularised (After resigning from the previous company my account was frozen) and since then everything is fine. Now, I want to settle my loan in full. I already mobilised funds needed. I want to know asap if I settle the loan in full, how the travel ban or police case will be removed? Will the bank do everything and give me a clearance letter?

Q: I paid the fine for cheque bounce of 10,000 and got released. Now the creditor has put the travel ban on me, however, there is no arrest warrant as I got it checked. Now I want to travel to my home country for Eid, I want to pay the outstanding amount. 1. My question is can I pay the amount at the airport while I leave? 2. or Can I pay at the court and get the travel ban lifted on the same day so that I can travel. The creditor who has put the travel ban on me is out of the country for a month. I need a lawyer to assist me urgently as I want to travel before Eid. Thank you.

Q: I am a visitor to Dubai. I have an extradition case. I have signed a paper with the Dubai police that I will be on my own to go to Peru to resolve my issues with the authority there. I am on bail from 03 to 18 March and my case is already closed at the public prosecution. I wanted to know what's the procedure and how long it will take for me to get the clearance from Abu Dhabi for me to receive my passport and bail money back and leave allow to Dubai. I have applied to the public prosecutor to get my passport and bail money back but it has been rejected.

Q: Dear Madam, I have a cheque bounce case against my credit card from Mashreq. The settlement had been done 2months back. When I went for my visa renewal stamping, they said that you need to go to Al Rahba Major Prosecution. Can I get advice as I am worried about the same? I need to know the process for the same.
