Questions & Answers
Can I travel to GCC countries if I have an unresolved credit loan in the UAE?
Hello Everyone!
I have a credit loan of around 40,000 AED in the UAE, and due to being jobless, I was unable to pay the installments.
If a travel ban is imposed on me in the UAE because of this, will I still be able to travel to Saudi Arabia in 2025?
I am very serious about paying and clearing my loans so I need clarity on whether the UAE travel bans extend to traveling to other GCC countries.
If a travel ban is imposed due to unpaid debts in the UAE, it generally restricts you from leaving the country.
This could be ordered by the UAE court or through a police system if there is a pending legal case or judgment against you.
Travel bans related to debt in the UAE typically apply only within the UAE. However, in certain cases, travel restrictions can be enforced across other GCC countries due to inter-country cooperation on legal matters related to debt recovery.
We suggest going for the travel status check before traveling. For further assistance, kindly share your Whatsapp number.

Dear questioner
No, the UAE travel ban will not extend to other GCC countries and you will not face any restrictions in any other GCC countries except UAE due to your credit card case.

Dear Questioner,
Thanks for your inquiry.
According to UAE law, if a travel ban is imposed on you due to unpaid debts, it will apply to all countries within the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region, including Saudi Arabia.
This means that you will not be able to travel to Saudi Arabia until the travel ban is lifted.
However, if you are able to pay off your debts and the travel ban is lifted, you will be able to travel to Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries without any restrictions.
It is important to note that travel bans in the UAE are usually imposed for a period of 3 years, but this can be extended if the debt is not paid off.
Therefore, it is advisable to clear your debts as soon as possible to avoid any travel restrictions in the future.
Additionally, if you are unable to pay off your debts, you can negotiate with your lender to come up with a payment plan that works for both parties. This may help in avoiding a travel ban and also show your commitment to paying off your debts.
It is always best to seek legal advice from a lawyer in the UAE for specific information and guidance regarding your situation.

Normally restrictions imposed in one country have effect only in the country itself unless it's a GCC ban.
In order to qualify GCC ban there are certain factors to be considered.

Welcome.
If a travel ban is imposed on you in the UAE due to unpaid loans, the ban generally applies to travel outside of the UAE.
The travel ban in the UAE does not automatically extend to other GCC countries like Saudi Arabia.
However, you may face challenges obtaining visas or traveling if there are legal issues related to your case in other countries.
It’s recommended to consult with a lawyer specialized in financial matters to help you resolve the issue and clarify the potential impact on your travel to other countries.
We are honored to provide you with specialized legal support for your case.
If you have any further inquiries regarding your matter, we would be happy to assist you.
Thank you for reaching out with your concern regarding the outstanding loan of AED 40,000 and its potential implications on your travel plans.
Travel Ban Implications:
In the UAE, a travel ban due to financial obligations typically restricts your ability to exit the country until the debt is settled.
However, such a ban does not usually affect your entry into other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, if you are currently outside the UAE and have a travel ban imposed there, it should not prevent you from traveling to Saudi Arabia in 2025.
Addressing the Debt:
It's commendable that you are serious about settling your loan. Clearing the outstanding amount will not only lift any travel restrictions within the UAE but also prevent potential legal complications in the future.
Next Steps:
To ensure you have accurate and up-to-date information tailored to your situation, I recommend the following:
Check for Travel Bans: Utilize the UAE's online services to verify if a travel ban has been imposed on you. For instance, the Dubai Police offers an online service where you can check for travel bans related to financial cases.
Consult with Legal Counsel: Engaging with a legal professional can provide clarity on your obligations and assist in negotiating a feasible repayment plan with your creditor.
