Q: Hello & Ramadan Kareem,
I'm working in JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone) as a Regional Manager on a limited contract ending in 2019. I shall be completing 1 year on 16 June 2017.
My Management is pressuring me to submit my resignation (with a 30-days notice i.e. defined in their offer letter) as they say I have not delivered the annual sales targets. Since I refused, the HR Manager called & threatened me with "consequences". My JAFZA contract clearly mentions 90 days notice period.
Now they say that if I resign, they can offer me 90 days compensation with no gratuity & other benefits.
Could you please advise, what should I do?

Can I claim my end of service benefits after signing the resignation settlement?
5
Q: Hi Sir,
I worked for a travel agency for 3years, as accounting manager; when wanted to come back to my home country I resigned from my job in July 2017. My employer didn’t pay my dues and didn't make any final settlement amount.
Being trusting the manager I signed the end of services form for visa cancellation. He promised me to make the payment once the visa is cancelled, but after cancellation, he started harassing me saying I have manipulated his accounts and stole his money and tortured me.
Finally, he made me sign a document that I have adjusted amount which was approx 50,000 Dhs, for my mistakes in white paper and gave my passport and I left Dubai in July. I have 1 loan of 30,000 and 10,000 credit with banks, who are after me to make the payment.
Is there anything I can do to get my money? Pls, help me I want to clear my dues in Dubai.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sk

Intentions of employer

Q: Good morning Sir,
First of all my name is Brian, I work in an Abu Dhabi company and now our contract is until Nov 30, 2017. Now they make a letter and gave to us stated below,
"In accordance to the above contract agreement, it is hereby informed that our service provided at (present location) is due for contract completion effective on 30th of November 2017.
"On renewal of the contract our service shall be continued for further period.
"However, if the contract is not awarded and our services become redundant, all concerned staff assigned at (present location) shall be processed for cancellation of documents and subsequently prepared for departure."
And now they are forcing us to sign the letter, and do not tell the reason for that. Even one of my colleagues has an offer letter, they still didn't want to release him.
What should I do? Should I sign?

Fraud of a company on the final settlement and credit card of an employee
2
Q: Respected Sir / Madam,
On Mar 2014, my manager was in the process of transferring my visa to the main company.
On his personal guarantee and assurance, he asked me to sign the receipt of AED 34,894/- towards my full and final settlement for the period I worked from August 2007 to March 2014.
Nevertheless, he never made any payment and just assured that he'll pay the same later, saying that the company used my dues for company urgent expenses.
Also between April 2014 to December 2014, and on many occasions, he requested on his personal guarantee and assurance to use my credit card for company official payments. The amount outstanding is AED 13,337/-.
When I started to follow up on my dues, he simply kept dragging and assuring the payment. I begged him many times to clear my dues but he never made any attempt to pay my dues.
He conned, lied and cheated me with my hard earned money, along with the employer.
The company is closed now and we both are working in different companies.
Please advise regarding the legal options to get my dues from him.
Regards,
Vinod

My company is going to provide me with costly training. They want me to sign a paper on which it is stated that after the training I will be bound to work for the company for the next three years.
I want to know that if I take that training and in the near future I go to some other gulf country, would there be any ban on me in that country or any other consequences?
Kindly guide me.

Forcing an employee to sign a paper before receiving his dues
1
Q: Hello,
To anyone who has a good heart to provide me free legal advice for my concern. My company is forcing me to sign an Arabic suing letter and it is really against my will since when I asked my friends to translate it, it was different from what I said and explained.
Now they are threatening me that I will go to jail, They don't want to process my vacation leave, vacation pay, gratuity, and even my 2 months delayed salary unless I sign the paper.
This week is also my wife's delivery for which an original passport is required, but they don't want to release my passport.
I think they broke a lot of UAE law since these actions that I mentioned are really against UAE Law.

What to do if you received a call from a person claiming to be a lawyer 0
I received an unsolicited call on a Saturday night (6.06pm to be precise), on my mobile phone in my place of residence from a lawyer (think he's actually a partner) claiming to represent my ex-wife in a matter pertaining to a divorce agreement that was ratified in Zimbabwe at the end of August.
He threatened that the full force of his law firm will be thrown at me if I did not settle the monetary claim within 48 hours of our telephone discussion. 80% of the monetary amount in question was actually remitted that afternoon, prior to his call, which he didn't bother to inquire about.
There was no formal notification in writing that their services had indeed being retained by my ex-wife. I am not sure if he followed due process & his threats could be construed as coercion in a matter that was all but resolved.

Is it legal to discuss maintenance of a child with the employer of my ex-husband? 1
Hello.
I would like to know if it is legal or illegal to contact my ex-husband's HR dept due to his refusal to pay for child support since the birth of our child (Age 16 now). He lives and works in Dubai.
I have remarried and have other children, moved to Abu Dhabi 1 1/2 yrs back and contacted him at his office. He has failed on every promise until now. I cant afford the high legal fees to file a case.
Please, let me know what are my options. Thanks.
