Requesting visa cancellation before the 30-day notice period ends

Dear Concern,

I would like to ask a question regarding my notice period. I submitted my resignation on the 7th of March, and I intend to cancel my visa on the 5th of April.

Am I allowed to request the cancellation of my visa even though it is not a 30-day notice period?

Dear Questioner,

According to UAE labor law, the notice period for an employee to resign is 30 days. This means that you are required to work for 30 days after submitting your resignation before your visa can be canceled.

However, if both parties (you and your employer) agree to a shorter notice period, then it is possible to cancel your visa before the 30 days are up.

It is important to discuss this with your employer and come to an agreement before proceeding with the visa cancellation process.

Dear Questioner,

Yes, you can. Even though it does not fall within the 30-day requirement, you can submit the request to cancel the visa.

The management can consider this as well.
