We work with freelancers in Syria. Is paying them by hand illegal?
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are a translation company based in the UAE.
Currently, we work with freelancers in Syria, and usually, money is handed to our Syrian freelancers by hand since there are no money transfer methods to Syria.
Is this illegal? If not, how can we deduct those costs from our taxes?

Dear Questioner,
Paying fees to translators residing outside the country in cash is not a legal violation in itself.
However, it is not permissible to deduct those amounts from the taxes imposed in the country since they were paid outside the country.
