Divorce of former expats in the UAE after leaving

Either of the spouses can approach the family court and file an application to get a divorce.

But even though they are not available in the UAE currently, both of them should have a valid visa here.

Once you file an application before the court, there will be a counselling for both of the parties as an attempt and trial to have a reunion.

If the counselling also fails, the court will decide the matter according to the evidence available before the court.
