Questions & Answers
Can I cancel my visa and leave the country while my partner is unreachable?
Good evening,
I am a partner in a civil company. My partnership share is 2%, and my other partner holds 98%. Now, I want to cancel my visa and return to my home country.
However, my partner is currently unavailable in Dubai; he is out of the country, and I cannot reach him by phone. When I check the company status on DED, it shows "under admin cancellation."
What does this mean? Can I cancel my visa and leave the country, or is there a specific procedure to follow since my other partner is unavailable, and I hold a 2% share? My visa will expire in February 2024.
I want to avoid any legal consequences. Can I cancel my visa and exit the country?
Please advise!
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
If your partner is unavailable and your company's status shows "under admin cancellation," contact government authorities like DED or MOHRE for guidance on canceling your visa and handling your 2% share in the company.
They can provide the necessary steps in your partner's absence.

Dear Sir/Madam,
There are much more complications in this particular situation. If your name is on the trade license, then the process of cancellation is not easy.
The company status showing "under administrative cancellation" on DED indicates potential issues with the company's license or adherence to regulations. This may affect your ability to cancel your visa as a partner.
Leaving the country with a pending administrative cancellation against the company could have legal complications for you as a partner.
Several procedures are needed to resolve this matter. It will be better if you hire a lawyer for the entire proceedings.
