Questions & Answers
DIFC visa holder owed 3 months salary by employer. What can I do?
Hello,
I would like to ask about a situation I am in with my current hospitality and restaurant company.
I have not received my salary for three months (since June 2023), and despite my repeated requests, the company keeps postponing payment with excuses.
I considered resigning, but many people have resigned during the year and have not received their pending salaries or final settlement.
In addition, several other people who opened cases a few months ago have also not received their salaries.
We do not have medical insurance. I have a DIFC visa and have tried to speak with the owner, but he has not given me any answers.
I am currently working in a high position with no salary. The company owes me three salaries. What should I do to get them?
Thank you in advanced!
Kind Regards,
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.
If you haven't received your salary for three months and lack medical insurance, take the following steps:
- Contact the DIFC Authority or relevant labor authority, document all communication, and file a complaint with MOHRE if required.
- Consider resignation if necessary, ensuring you follow proper procedures.

Dear Questioner,
If it is a free zone company, you may file a complaint in the free zone authority first.
Then, if the issue is not resolved, you can approach MOHRE with the referral letter issued by the free zone authority.
If there are other labor who already filed a case, the judge will put them in a group case against the company.
If you want to discuss further, we will arrange a legal consultation session for a charge of 28$. Share your WhatsApp number if you want to go with the services.
